Clarity and the Process of Business Creation
As an Entrepreneur, bringing your idea to fruition is a process of creating something that didn’t exist before. The key to doing it successfully, though – particularly if you face any obstacles – is to have as much clarity as possible around every aspect of your business. You can’t create something distinct and independent if you have no idea what you’re creating, or if you start with a rough idea and figure you’ll “wing it” from there. The sharper your picture of what you’re working towards, the easier it will be for you to take the right steps, make the right moves, deal with the doubts or negativity you face and slice off the unnecessary trimmings that aren’t part of that picture.
I’m not Catholic, but having a fascination with religion of all kinds, I’ve read enough to know that there’s a pretty good process map for creation in the Bible. For those of you of different persuasions, it’s not an idea unique to Christianity, but turns up in a few other doctrines as well. In the Christian version, it starts by saying “In the Beginning was the Word” (John 1:1) – the word was then made form, but Creation was generated from the Word/ Idea/ Vibration that existed first. The WORD. Not the phrase, the sentence, or the twenty-two page business plan, but the Word.
What word expresses the idea of your business most clearly? Can you summarise what you want to create in 3 words or less?
